Moving is definitely demanding and it can be expensive. Having simply done it, I'll share some things I did to save money and minimize tension.

Part of the tension is the expense included. I moved two weeks earlier and I used some techniques and pointers that I hope will help make your next relocation less expensive and demanding. Here are some suggestions for carrying on a budget.
Eliminate Stuff
Truly, lots and great deals of stuff. I'm normally pretty pared down however I was shocked at how much I had the ability to get rid of. Mainly books which was a battle for me.
I wish I might keep every book I ever bought however I desire to be more "portable" and it was the books weighing me down. I donated about 10 boxes and still had about an equal amount that I could not face parting with.

This one isn't so much about saving cash but avoiding aggravation. Unless you have a big family or are a hoarder, packing will take less time than you think. Two moves ago I started packing weeks ahead of my move.
Constantly bumping into things and tripping over boxes. Clothing and pots and pans I required were loaded, sealed and stacked under other boxes.
The next time I moved I chose to do everything in the last weekend prior to the relocation which was lots of time. Because I had stupidly packed up all my cooking pots and meals, and I didn't invest a couple of weeks consuming take out.
All in all it was a quite inexpensive, simple move. I spent less than $600, things went smoothly and I was unpacked and all settled in the same day. Best of luck when your time comes and I hope some of these ideas conserve here you some loan!
